Module 1: Recharge Your Energy With Vibrant Qi & Harmonize Your 3 Cavities With the “Hold Up Heaven” Movement (January 9)

 

All of us want to live with vibrant energy and optimum health. Maintaining openness of the energy pathways is the key to ensuring the flow of positive energy. 

This week, you’ll explore how Ba Duan Jin Qigong offers an effective method to open and activate the energy pathways, raise the vibrancy of energy, and maintain good balance of your internal operating environment.

Master Faye will map the anatomy of the energetic body and introduce the locations of important energy pathways to awaken sensations that will enable you to literally feel the Qi.

Module 2: Nourish Lung Energy, Activate Key Acupuncture Points & Increase Circulation With the “Posing as an Archer” Movement  (January 16)

 

It has been said that energy is the commander of blood; when energy moves, blood follows. It’s also true that blood is the mother of energy; where blood goes, energy follows. 

Your lungs control breath and energy — and assist the heart with the circulation of blood. The heart energy in Chinese energy art is regarded as the “Emperor” of all organs.

You’ll experience this firsthand as Master Faye shares how energy is constantly traveling and changing, following the principle of yin and yang. 

You’ll experience this through the “Posing as an Archer” movement, and also use the Bazi hand gesture to stimulate the lung meridian and expand the energy changes between yin and yang, activating and stimulating key acupuncture points and increasing the lung energy

You’ll also explore how breathing has a direct and positive impact on the vibrancy and quality of lung energy.

In this session, you’ll: 

  • Connect deeper with the energy of the Earth for continued improvement in grounding, balance, and emotional stability
  • Experience the unique hand gesture Bazi — and understand key acupuncture theory for continued improved circulation of energy

Module 3: Alchemize Emotional Energy Into Calming Qi for the Spleen & Stomach With “Pushing Arms Aloft” & “Turn Gazing Backwards” Movements (January 23)

 

The most transformative energy is your spleen-and-stomach energy, which works hard to transform nutrients from food into functional energy for your internal organs. 

Emotional energy is closely linked with the wellbeing of internal organs… as you’ll experience with these smooth, mind-calming movements — coupled with controlled breathing. 

As Master Faye guides you through the “Pushing Arms Aloft” and “Turn Gazing Backwards” movements, you’ll create a massaging effect on the internal organs…

… while also helping to unblock emotional energy pathways and promote the smooth traveling of Qi that replenishes vital energy of the spleen and stomach.

You’ll also go deeper into visualizations that will help you move beyond any perceived form of restriction.

Module 4: Nourish the Heart & Release Stress With the “Swaying the Head & Wagging the Tail” Movement (January 30)

 

The heart is the most yang organ (fire element) in your body. It governs blood circulation, blood vessels, and the mind, houses the Shen/spirit, and is in charge of our happiness and joy.

“Swaying the Head & Wagging the Tail” uses circular movements around the sacrum and spine to balance the fire yang energy of the heart with the water yin energy of the kidneys

You’ll also go deeper into visualizations that increase the flow of Qi and a felt sense of emotional stability by pushing beyond any perceived limitation.

In this session, you’ll: 

  • Discover the location of the tailbone/sacrum on the spine — and engage the sacrum with a gentle circular movement to release unblocked energy around the kidney meridian and increase the flexibility of the spine
  • Expand the circular movement around the sacrum to the torso, engaging with the yang energy pathways along the spine to improve the flexibility of the whole spine — and balance the water yin energy from the kidney and fire yang energy from the heart to promote good energy flow to the whole body
  • Experience smooth and deep breathing integrated into the practice to keep the Qi flow smooth — and use this flow to nourish the internal organs with vibrant energy 
  • Explore the power of visualization to deepen your practice and experience the emotional stability and balance that mindful movement can bring you
 

Module 5: Tonify Your Kidney Energy for Increased Vitality With the “Both Hands Touching the Feet” Movement (February 6)

 

Your kidney energy is the powerhouse of your body, and is also regarded as the body's most important reservoir of essential energy. 

The original prenatal energy (yuan Qi), which forms the basis of life, is stored in the kidney organ energy system, which is why the kidneys are also known as the “the root of life.”

The “Both Hands Touching the Feet” movement can help you tonify your kidney energy and amplify your kidneys’ innate function of revitalizing your energy, resulting in a deeper sense of vibrancy, balance, and resilience.

In this session, you’ll: 

  • Discover the location of the yang and yin energy pathways in the legs and feet — and improve mental clarity and awareness 
  • Experience the deep opening of these meridians and stimulate key acupuncture points that can improve flexibility in the tendons and ligaments
  • Smooth out any blockages in the kidney meridian 
  • Strengthen muscle tone and replenish the vital energy in the kidney meridian through smooth and controlled bending and stretching movements
  • Experience increased energy circulation head-to-toe and incorporate smooth and deep breathing
 

Module 6: Replenish Liver Qi to Increase Vitality and Immunity & Decrease Stress Hormones With “Clenching Fists & Glaring Eyes” & “Raising the Heels” Movements (February 13)

 

The “Clenching Fists and Glaring Eyes” movement is a great way to increase vitality and energy levels in the body — quickly and effectively. 

It also helps improve circulation, decrease stress hormones, regulate mental and emotional states, and improve coordination and balance

Master Faye will share how practicing this movement regularly can help you build up your Qi, which not only increases vitality…

… but also helps improve the immune system, reducing pain and inflammation, and optimizing the natural healing power of the body to cope with the ever-increasing amount of stress and pollution you encounter daily.

In this session, you’ll: 

  • Improve strength and flexibility in the fingers and hands by making the healing fist (Wo Gu) — and stimulate acupuncture points in the fingers and hands to clear and nourish energy pathways
  • Increase energy in the liver meridian and develop improved muscle tone behind the eyes by changing between soft gaze and glaring eyes
  • Tonify and replenish the liver meridian with vibrant energy by incorporating smooth and deep breathing into the movement

Be guided through all eight of Ba Duan Jin brocades — and tangibly feel how these mindful movements work in tandem to ground you deeply in the present and balance your emotional and energetic bodies.

You’ll work with your emotions to clear Qi blockages that can create malfunction and disease.

About Master Faye Li Yip

Born in China to a traditional martial arts family, Master Faye Li Yip is a passionate practitioner, performer, and professional teacher of Tai Chi, Qigong, and Chinese martial arts, with over 40 years of training experience. Master Faye is a co-author of the popular books Wudang Tai Chi Sword and Tai Chi Kungfu Fan. After moving to the UK, with the help and support of her husband Tary, she set up both the Deyin Taijiquan Institute and the British Health Qigong Association. She has worked tirelessly to raise awareness of both physical and mental wellbeing through the arts of Tai Chi and Qigong.

Over 20,000 British and European students from all walks of life have benefited from her teaching. She has produced several instructional DVDs and online courses for all the forms she teaches, and has more than 15,000 subscribers on YouTube, in order to allow those who are unable to attend classes to experience their benefits. She is a regular speaker at international Tai Chi, Qigong, and integrated medicine forums.

Master Faye has led students in many large-scale performances, including the Queen’s diamond and platinum jubilee celebrations, the Tai Chi & Qigong performance to count down the 2012 London Olympics, and live performances during the English Football League (EFL) championships. She has been invited to teach Tai Chi at numerous prestigious events such as the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting of the new champions, and at the presidential palace of Ireland at the invitation of His Excellency President Higgins and the First Lady. Master​ Faye successfully organized and hosted a number of high-profile events such as the European Health Qigong Games and Scientific Symposium.

We use Zoom video conferencing to make it just like an in-person event, where you can ask questions and deepen your exploration of the course themes.

A: Absolutely! You can stream the recordings and download the transcripts of all course sessions, so you never need to worry about missing live calls. You can also engage with the full community and leaders in our private online community group.

A: We’ll have a private online community group for all course participants on Facebook that will support you in making connections with others, sharing insights, engaging in discussions, and completing homework assignments that can supplement your transformational journey. You’ll have the ability to share your experiences, projects, and growth throughout the course.

 

Q: Are there scholarships available for this training?
